Last week we took the opportunity to hold another landlord evening and take time to catch up with new and existing landlords. The start of the year has begun in a blur for all at the Gatekeeper/Springfield team and this event provided a rare opportunity to take a breath, relax and catch up with some of our customers in a more social and personal environment.
The team feedback was that the event was a real buzz and gave everyone the time to talk about what we do and what landlords want in a more relaxed atmosphere. I would like to take the time to recognise a few individuals who in typical Gatekeeper-Springfield style literally went the extra mile. Well done and a big thanks to Jo and Amar (who contribute to us on a part time basis) who had journeys of nearly 2 hours to attend the evening. Their effort always helps our events become a big success. Many of our back of house team (Property Care Team) don't get out much (literally) so to be able to take time to get some fresh air and meet our landlords face to face is always welcomed.
The event was an opportunity to explain what we have been working on over the last few months and what our future plans are. We received some excellent feedback and development ideas and these will be added to our customer survey votes so we get a wider view on what the development priorities should be. We collected views from many quarters at the event as well as through our online feedback. Please keep these coming in as it really helps us set the future direction of Gatekeeper-Springfield and keeps us all on our toes.
We also used the occasion to give our team and landlords an insight into the Springfield School which has a great reputation for focusing on individual children's needs in Witney and the surrounding area. Gatekeeper-Springfield are proud to be able to support the Springfield School over the coming months in several events with our “sponsor lets” and upcoming Easter Egg hunts. Watch this space for more details! We wish to thank the school for allowing us to use their facilities for this event.
Thanks to Extended Team
The events that we put on whether they be landlord’s evenings, landlord forums, viewer events or even colleague evenings out always take a huge amount of organising. As a family business I would like to recognise the larger extended team - a huge thank you to all the baby sitters that our team enrolled to look after their kids so they could attend an evening event - many grandparents, sisters, brothers, aunts and uncles were called upon for that job.
I would like to offer a special thanks to Graham and Linda Symons (Mat’s Parents) for attending and helping out with the event. I would also like to thank Anna Symons (Mat’s long suffering wife) for her extraordinary efforts as the Gatekeeper-Springfield “catering dept” - as usual the food was amazing!
Watch this space for news of future events, Aylesbury and Swindon look likely to be the 'pins in the Map' for the next locations. It appears we over delivered in the catering department but I have received some really positive comments from Landlords about the buffet! We are still enjoying it and will be all week! The whole team are 'fattening up' on gourmet pack lunches.
Kind Regards,
Patrick Brady Managing Director - Gatekeeper Property

Colleagues Comments - Vanessa McLean (Property Care Director)
The great performance from the sales teams in recent months has seen the workload grow in the property care team. We are now seeing the massive benefits of the new on-line tenant application process. This is enabling us to do the detailed & rigorous credit and reference checking with great pace and efficiency. This change has further enhanced our tenant proposition which ultimately helps us maximise the rental return on our landlords properties.
